Bologna Welcome is the new tourist information and incoming service located in Piazza Maggiore and run by the Municipality of Bologna together with Bologna Congressi - BolognaFiere Group. It offers a complete range of incoming services to tourists, operators and citizens thanks to its qualified staff and to www.bolognawelcome.it, the city’s tourism portal:

IAT desk
• Tourist information provided by the Municipality of Bologna

Incoming section
• Hotel booking
• Air ticketing and related services (e.g. parking space at the Bologna Airport and passes to the Marconi Business Lounge), rail and sea ticketing, bus and private car rental services (with or without driver)
• Pre-post congress tour, tourism packages, thematic itineraries

Event section
• An updated calendar of the events happening around the city and in the Province of Bologna and ticketing for theatre, concerts, sport and cultural events

A baby park within the area will entertain the younger tourists, while their parents are busy at the desk. Surrounded by crush-proof glazed walls, the children’s area was laid out with the support of IKEA.

A multipurpose area will occasionally host special initiatives and a Help Desk offers a customised assistance to congress participants, thanks to its advanced technological system and its qualified staff.

The Travel Department of Bologna Congressi provides tourist services in the Info points located in the Arrival Area of Guglielmo Marconi Airport and in the Convention and Exhibition Centre area too.
