Bologna Convention Bureau has been created as a business unit of Bologna Welcome, the Convention and Visitors Bureau of Bologna, to promote the city and its territory by offering further and new opportunities to encourage and welcome national and international events. It plays the important role of communicating the destination, with a particular focus on international congresses, business meetings, sport and cultural events.
BCB aim is to facilitate event organizers, promoters and associations, planning and realizing the organization of their events in Bologna. BCB provides any kind of support planners may need, offering full venue finding service, helping to find the best suitable solutions and selecting the best local suppliers.
Located in the heart of the country, Bologna is an important high‐speed and motorway hub in Italy and it is easily connected both nationally and internationally thanks to the Marconi Airport that reaches more than
90 destinations, with almost 7 million passengers per year.
Thanks to its long experience in the meeting industry, Bologna is the perfect place for any kind of event, the city is lively and dynamic and has got many excellences characterizing the territory.
Yet, though steeped in tradition, Bologna is one of Italy’s most go‐ahead places, a modern European city with excellent services and infrastructures, home to important economic and social organizations. Bologna has the oldest University in Europe, its medieval center, classified by UNESCO as the best preserved in Europe, boasts perfectly preserved historical buildings, both conventional (churches, palaces, villas) and unconventional, as ideal venues for any event. Bologna area is also known as the famous Motor Valley, where Lamborghini, Ducati, Maserati and Ferrari museums and factories stand out, useful to enrich any social program.
BCB will be presented at the press conference taking place Wednesday 20th April at 12.30 at the Pavillion 8 ‐ D 400 at ENIT Italy stand.
